Landowners in the path of a pipeline can’t take it or leave it. Their private property is generating profits for people whose homes are far away from the incineration zone. Why shouldn’t the landowner whose property is taken at least participate in the profits? More

The enormity of the situation began to sink in that morning as we heard about the potential buyer. The bankruptcy of the Charleston Gazette-Mail in and of itself is one terrible thing; the possibility of the Wheeling Newspapers owning the Gazette-Mail takes things to a whole new low-level of bad news. More

Dianne Bady was one of the principal founders of OVEC. Dianne, 67, succumbed to cancer on October 23, 2017 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Her husband Rick, her son Aaron, her sister Monica McFarland, and OVEC staff were with her in her final hours. More
