Not the Kind of White Water that Attracts Tourists

The children waiting for the bus where very agitated, worried what this meant for the river. Maria worried what does this mean for thechildren… what does this latest incident mean for everyone who lives downstream, everyone subjected to ongoing, accumulating coal-related pollution More

Work of Art To Lead the Way: The Great Ohio River Relay
This fall, a baton that symbolizes water, mountains and life itself, will be passed by relay along the entire 981-mile length of the Ohio River. Participants will move the baton along the river by canoe or kayak, or along the river’s banks by foot, bicycle, rollerblade or skateboard — by any human-powered means. More

On April 20, in response to our legal challenge, the US Army Corps of Engineers suspended a permit for mining operations at a new mountaintop removal coal mine. The Corps stated that it intends to re-evaluate the permit in light of concerns raised by the EPA and our legal filings. More
