What: Shale and Pipelines: What the Frack is Going On in Putnam County?

When: 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, January 21

Where: Eleanor Presbyterian Church
205 Eleanor Circle, Eleanor, WV

Who: This community forum is sponsored by OVEC, the Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition, which is based in Huntington, WV.

Why: Our neighbors up north have experienced an assault on their land, air, water, health and way of life with the rapid rise and expansion of unconventional deep shale oil and gas drilling, waste disposal and associated infrastructure. This is not your grandparents’ oil and gas industry.

What does the development of Rogersville Shale and the proposed Mountaineer XPress Pipeline mean for our region?

Have you have been approached by oil and gas industry representatives seeking to lease your mineral rights, or to gain right-of-way access to your property?

Come meet your neighbors and discuss these issues.
