Volunteer, Show the Ohio River Some Love: Living Land & Waters Garbage Barge Here Now

Calling all water defenders! Show some love to the Ohio River and to a river clean-up organization now helping out the Ohio River.

As Dave Lavender reports in “Garbage barge is on a mission in the Tri-State”:

Headquartered in East Moline, Illinois, Living Land & Waters has a team of 10 who spend up to nine months a year living and traveling on a unique multipurpose series of barges, where the crew carries out its mission of hosting river cleanups, watershed conservation initiatives, workshops, tree plantings and other key conservation efforts.

Living Lands & Waters is seeking area volunteers to help with cleanup over the next few days (see the graphic below). Learn more and register here.
