Upcoming Events Today, August 10: OVEC and West Virginia Interfaith Power & Light are teaming up to host second-Friday free film nights each month. The inaugural film screening features Chasing Coral, a documentary which takes viewers on a thrilling ocean adventure as a team of divers, photographers, and scientists set out to discover why reefs around the world are vanishing at an unprecedented rate. This first-rate film provides a look at an underwater world few of us had the opportunity to see up close. September 8: Ohio River Rising Huntington: Part of Nationwide Rise for Climate Rallies Starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday September 8, OVEC and other groups will host Ohio River Rising Huntington. September 15: OVEC’s Annual Meeting and Treehuggers’ Ball Please plan to join us on for September 15, 2018 for OVEC’s annual meeting and our Treehuggers’ Ball! Our keynote speaker for this event will be Dr. Elizabeth Catte, author of What You Are Getting Wrong About Appalachia.
