Are You Registered to Vote? Notch Up the Civic Involvement
No matter where you live, now is a good time to be certain you are registered to vote in the November general elections. Click here to quickly find out if you are registered to vote.

If you live in West Virginia, be certain to Be Registered & Be Ready to Vote.

Take your WV civic engagement up a notch by hosting a candidate forum in your community; for assistance, contact Jennifer Wells of Our Children, Our Future. Not sure you could host a candidate forum? Learn about that, candidate forum, help create a statewide voter guide and much more at the September 18 2018 WV People’s Policy Summit.

Speak Up for the Ohio River
You’ve may have noticed that we’ve been alerting folks to the fact that water quality standards throughout the Ohio River watershed are in grave danger, due to some proposed changes to pollution standards that ORSANCO has tentatively adopted.

Please consider writing a comment by August 20 to ORSANCO. Find background information on the issue and how to submit a comment here.

Please also consider writing a letter to your governor if you live in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Indiana or Illinois. Here’s info on what to say and how to contact your governor.

If you need any help, please contact robin@ohvec.org.

Sign the Petition: Don’t Bail Out Coal and Nuclear at Solar’s Expense! Thanks to our friends at Solar United Neighbors for alerting us to this petition. If you live near Fayetteville, be sure to check their next informational meeting about the solar co-ops forming for residents of the New and Gauley river areas
