Giving Thanks
From the local, with family and friends, to the global, we hope you find yourself with plenty of reasons to be thankful as the holiday season begins. Please know that we here at OVEC are extremely thankful for all the ways our members and supporters contribute to making our part of the world a better place. Thank you.
Here’s a little something to be thankful for on the energy front — by the end of 2014, the U.S. had more than 8 GW of distributed PV solar installed, equal in capacity to 16 typical coal-fired power plants.

Gifts with Meaning
When it comes to holiday gift giving, do you take part in a Black Friday shopping frenzy or observe Give Nothing Day or land somewhere in between?
Whatever your style, if you are thinking about giving gifts, please check out our blog that suggests some gifts with meaning, gifts that give twice, such as a gift membership in OVEC. As the blog notes, we encourage shopping with locally owned retailers, but if you are thinking of shopping on Amazon, you can at least give a little bit to a good cause by logging into Amazon Smile.
