Online: If you haven’t already done so, please do take action for your woods, the West Virginia State Parks. There’s this petition to sign: OPPOSE LOGGING WV’S STATE PARKS, and our friends at WV Rivers Coalition have set up this easy way for you to take action: ASK MEMBERS OF THE WV HOUSE TO VOTE NO ON HB4182. If you want to learn more about this issue, read: Governor Still Can’t See the Park for the Trees. There’s likely going to be a public hearing on this bill, so stay tuned. Please be certain you are on WV Environmental Council’s action alert list for updates. (OVEC is a member group of WVEC.) We will also post updates on our website.
OVEC’s Executive Director Natalie Thompson can often be found at the Statehouse. If you want to join her in speaking with WV Legislators on matters of concern to you, she’d love to have your company. E-mail her at natalie@ohvec.org. You can also team up with the WV Environmental Council lobbyists under the Golden Dome.
Save the date: March 6 is E-Day at the WV State Capitol!
