Now is the time to get involved in the Our Children Our Future campaign to help bring an end to child poverty in West Virginia. Environmental pollution, which brings negative health effects, and the rising costs of energy are directly linked to the problem of child poverty.
The campaign has four upcoming Regional Policy Workshops, where community leaders from across the state propose policy changes to work on over the coming year. You are invited to be a part of these workshops. Come gety connected with the issues that most interest you.
Please find a day-long training near you (places and dates below) and plan to attend so you can learn new ways to make change in your community and throughout the state. At the trainings, you can learn about policy advocacy, healthy lifestyles / Try This! promotion, voter education and turnout, and more.
The Our Children, Our Future campaign is making great strides. Over the last 20 months, coalition partners statewide have won 12 policy victories that will improve communities and help us move toward our goal of ending child poverty in West Virginia!
