The Coalfield Development Corporation and Center for Environmental, Geotechnical, and Applied Sciences at Marshall University are encouraging folks to register now for a free job training course that starts January 25.
The training course is called “The Quality Environmental Jobs Initiative”(QEJI) and is funded through an Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training grant from the U.S. EPA. QEJI is geared toward unemployed or under-employed young adults, laid-off coal miners, and veterans. The training program is free of charge and open to the general public.
Courses begin January 26, and you must be registered at least one week prior. Register here. Space is limited.
You can read more about the program in this news story from the Logan Banner. You can download a flier and a brochure about QEJI here.
