Join CCA’s annual gathering as they celebrate 50 years of raising a prophetic voice for Appalachia and its people.

Much has changed in our region, our world, and our church since CCA was founded in 1970.

Through it all, CCA has tried to “be church” in response to the cry of the poor and the cry of Earth, which we believe in the voice of the Spirit among us. The Appalachian pastoral letters (1975, 1995, 2015) continue to orient CCA’s diverse works for justice and for the wholeness of creation.
