Today: OVEC’s Annual Picnic
It’s today, Saturday October 7. Come on out for our annual member and supporter picnic—30th anniversary edition! There’s no need to bring a dish, as OVEC is providing lunch.

Please join us at Barboursville Park, Shelter No. 4. We have the shelter all day and the picnic is at noon. There’s a playground, swings, and a climbing and bouncing bridge. There’s also tennis, volleyball, basketball, and lake fishing.

Barboursville Park, Co. Rd 31/6, Barboursville, WV, 25504

Temperatures will be in the low 80s when the picnic starts, with no rain forecast.

Here’s the day’s lineup:

12:00 p.m. Free Lunch

1:30 p.m. Annual Awards Ceremony

2:30 p.m. Bike Ride

Live music, too! Feel free to bring an instrument if you are a musician. Please bring your own equipment for outdoor activities.
To reduce waste, please bring reusable dinnerware. Join the event on Facebook here.

Whether or not you can make it, please support our $30 for 30 campaign

If you can’t make the picnic in Barboursville, WV, there’s also an event to Save the Greenbrier River and other waterways in Summers County, details here.

Plus, also on October 7, there’s the 30th Anniversary Film Screening of Matewan at the LaBelle Theatre in South Charleston. You can attend the picnic and still have time to enjoy make the Matewan events around 7 p.m.
